Pejic's Paris and perfume deal hopes

25 Jan, 2012 12:11 PM

Andrej Pejic is in Paris hoping to recreate the moment he found world-fame last year when he closed Jean Paul Gaultier women's couture show in a wedding dress.

But the Melbourne model’s agent, Chadwick's Joseph Tenn, has rebuffed rumours the famously androgynous catwalk king had meanwhile cemented his rise to the top with a major fragrance deal.

The speculation began when Frockwriter posted a translation of French fashion show Sept a Huit that closed a segment on Pejic with mention of a lucrative contract.

"[Pejic] will sign a contract to be the face of a major perfume brand in several weeks," the anchor was heard to say.

"He hasn’t signed anything," Tenn said.

As for whether his client would repeat last year’s scene stealing catwalk appearance, Tenn was coy, confirming only that Pejic was in Paris “with options.”

Pejic has already appeared in this season’s Haute Couture shows, walking the runway in black leather and fur for Jean Paul Gaultier’s men collection.

The women’s shows continue this week.
