Politicians join builders as the $9.6million Burrinja Cultural Centre transformation begins to take shape. Premier John Brumby together with Monbulk MP James Merlino and Lyster Ward councillor Samantha Dunn toured the site of the new 400-seat performing arts centre last Wednesday. Mr Merlino said the new venue would add to the already renowned cultural and artistic reputation of the Dandenongs. "The new venue will allow Burrinja to present a large variety of touring shows to the community as well as providing services to local theatre groups and schools," Mr Merlino said.
