Eastern Regional Libraries will increase their overdue book fees from March 1. The fee is now 30 cents a day for each adult item, up from 25 cents, to a maximum of $10. The price is the same for junior and teenage items, but up to a maximum of $5.
Once charges on a card reach $10, the user will not be able to renew or place items on hold online, or check out new items at the machines.
