A RINGWOOD woman has been missing in the state's north-east for more than a week, prompting a police appeal for any witnesses who may know of the 60yearold's whereabouts.
Winny Draper was last seen at noon on September 20 walking alone on Mansfield-Woods Point Road, Jamieson.
Her car, a 2002 silver Toyota Corolla, was found on September 21 at Quilton Reserve, Quilton North.
Sergeant Mark Fabris, of Mansfield police, said search and rescue crews were continuing to search for Ms Draper around the Jamieson area and the Goulburn River.
"We still don't know where Ms Draper is. We're checking her emails and other means of inquiries.
"We've checked all hospitals and are inquiring into whether she has gone somewhere else.
"The heavy rain has hindered the search, the river has risen about three or four metres and is running very fast."
Sergeant Fabris said it was still unknown why Ms Draper had travelled to Jamieson.
"She had connections to the Jamieson area through friends who lived up this way but she wasn't meeting with them."
Police have urged residents and holiday home-owners in the Mansfield area to check their properties for any sighting of Ms Draper.
She is described as 162 centimetres with a slight build and black hair with some grey. She was last seen wearing an orange vest and tan-coloured pants.
