Ten-hour siege at Croydon house

07 Feb, 2012 03:00 AM
Police forced their way into a house in Croydon last Thursday night following a 10-hour siege involving an 18-year-old male.

The dog squad and special operations group arrived at the house in Lusher Road at 1.30pm and forced their way into the house at 11pm.

The teen's mother, 36, and brother, 14, who were inside the house throughout the siege walked out after police broke down the door. The youth left with police just after 11pm. A Victoria Police spokeswoman said the teen was assisting police with their inquiries.
