Tidy prizes on offer for towns

07 Feb, 2012 03:00 AM
Yarra Ranges and Maroondah residents are being encouraged to nominate their local town for the annual Tidy Towns - Sustainable Communities Awards.

Mt Evelyn MP Christine Fyffe said the awards are a great way to recognise townships who take an active responsibility for their environment. There will be 11 prizes on offer, including the Victorian Tidy Town of the year award. Entries close on May 11. Details and applications: sustainability.vic.gov.au/kabv
