Renowned Australian artist Dean Bowen's sculpture of a figure balancing a native owl on its head and small echidnas at its feet has been moved into the Glen Park community play space in Bayswater North.

Maroondah councillor Paul McDonald said the sculpture was a representation of the native wildlife in Maroondah and a reminder to residents to preserve the environment and protect native birds and animals. "Given the popularity of Dean's work we are extremely pleased to be home to a unique creation of this inspiring artist," he said.
