HODDLES Creek supporters would have been wringing their hands when their team was all out for 111 in the Yarra Valley Cricket Association D.J Strachan Shield clash with Coldstream.

But in a tight encounter, Coldstream was all out two runs short of the target (Chris Dobson, 32, Brenton Derix, 4/28).

Wandin was too strong for Yarra Junction which was dismissed for 201 (David Lever, 70, J Wright 6/53).

Mt Evelyn closed overnight at 6/193 dec (A Giblin, 105) against Gruyere District, which was all out for 69 in its first knock. At the close, Gruyere was 7/134cc giving Mt Evelyn the points but not the outright.

Healesville was at home to Woori Yallock and scored 9/268 (Nick Foster, 80). For the Tigers, Steggles 3/58 and Wallace 2/40 ensured its score of 282 was safe.
