UPPER Ferntree Gully continued its march towards the finals with a strong showing against Rowville at Seebeck oval on Saturday.
The Kings dismissed the Hawks for 137, with speedster Aaron Watson taking 3-19, and replied with 2-43.
Johnson Park reached a similar position against Knox Gardens at Argyle Way. The Falcons were dismissed for 119 with Johnson Park's Steve Bowen taking 3-31 and Craig Wenham 3-24.
Ferntree Gully managed just 133 against Eildon Park as medium-fast bowler Steve Pimm snared 6-29. The Blues were cruising at 0-63 before Pimm combined with Cam Cosstick (3-31) to shut them down. Mark Teofilo (41) top scored for Ferntree Gully but Eildon Park was in the box seat at stumps on 2-68.
Upwey's Matt Mulchay scored 111 of his side's 222 against The Basin at Batterham Park. Matt Heskes took four wickets for The Basin.
St John's Tecoma made the most of its visit to Lakesfield Reserve, setting Lysterfield a target of 311. Openers Dean Palandri (41) and Corey Walters (63) laid a solid platform before Newman (71) and Hardy (45) rounded out the innings. Steve Anderton (3-39) was the best of the Lysterfield bowlers.
Belgrave's Scott Vozzo took six wickets to restrict Monbulk to 155. Jason Fraser (79) was Monbulk's best batsman. en.
