07 Sep, 2010 01:00 AM
RINGWOOD big man Trent Zomer notched up a post-season double-double, winning the Big V Basketball League Youth League 1 scoring and rebounding titles.

Zomer averaged 24.6 points and 12.8 rebounds over 19 matches for the Hawks, who lost to the Melbourne Tigers in the Youth League 1 semi-finals last month.

Zomer wasn't the only Hawks player to win a statistical award.

Hawks players won the Golden Hands awards in the state championship men's and women's competitions and in the Youth League 1 competition.

Matt Snowball won the men's award, Katie Laviolette won the women's title and Brenton Charles claimed the Youth League 1 award.

Post player Amanda Behnke won the rebounding title in the state championship women's competition, averaging 12.9 rebounds.
