Colourful design unveiled as V8 driver prepares for big season

09 Feb, 2010 03:00 AM
TONY D'Alberto has lifted the lid on his striking new livery, unveiling the Centaur #3 Commodore on the eve of testing at Winton Raceway yesterday.

Geared up for a big season, D'Alberto says his new livery reminds him of his 2005 Development Series car when the colours black, white and red also featured heavily.

"I've always loved the mix of black, white and red," said D'Alberto. "They're strong colours and always work well together. I'm really happy with the final product, the car looks great."

The slick new design features a crisp, clean look with major sponsors Centaur, Bellmont and D'Alberto Holden all taking a leading role.

"We have taken a fresh approach and gone with a very clean and distinctive look. The car looks really cool and there's no doubt you'll see some more sponsors joining us very soon," said D'Alberto.

"We're very focused on building relationships for the future," he added.

Other partners for 2010 include MotoSign, Castrol, Biomax, Revolution Racegear, Biante and gameday.com.au

Centaur is the manufacturer behind Victoria Police's new divisional vans, a major project that is taking place this year and beyond.

"It's great to have Centaur on board, I'm appreciative of their support.

"They have a major project on with the police vehicles and I'm eager to promote and represent the brand in the V8 Supercar Championship Series," added D'Alberto.

Bellmont, a long-time supplier to HSV and FPV, continues its support of the team by featuring down both sides of the VE Commodore, while D'Alberto Holden highlights the support for the 24-year old driver in the Echuca-Kyabram region of Victoria.

Additionally, Centaur Racing will work closely with Walkinshaw Performance this year, gaining input with an engineering agreement.

The team was due to return from Winton late yesterday to make any final adjustments before flying to Abu Dhabi for the opening round of the V8 Supercar Championship Series.

Watch out for more news about Tony D'Alberto and the team in the Journal in coming weeks.
