RINGWOOD fell 20 runs short in its pursuit of North Melbourne's 191 in their Premier Cricket clash at Russell Lucas Oval on Saturday.
The Rams resumed at 6-89 with opener David King still at the crease and playing coach Gavin Kellar still to bat after suffering a concussion on day one.
King (53) and Kellar (34 not out) forged a 47-run stand for the eighth wicket but once King was dismissed the Rams were always going to struggle.
Roos skipper Carl Sandri took two late wickets and Rams tail-ender Michael Topp was run out, ending the Rams innings.
