Two men have been arrested following an armed robbery of a taxi driver in Belgrave at the weekend.
Yarra Ranges crime investigation unit arrested the two men, who are both aged 21 and from Olinda and Belgrave, after one of the men attended Belgrave police station.
Police had earlier released CCTV images of two men who were picked up from Brunswick Street, Fitzroy at about 10.15pm on Saturday November 10.
The men in the footage handed over cash for a pre-paid fare but the taxi driver was forced to wake the men to give them their change.
They then pushed the driver to the ground and threatened him with a large kitchen knife before stealing cash. Both men then ran from the scene.
