A FIRE in Homestead Road, Wonga Park, has been brought under control.
CFA were notified of the grass and scrub fire at 1pm and eight vehicles are currently at the scene. The fire’s status was listed as safe about 1.35pm.
Meanwhile, a bushfire which broke out in Selby this morning has been contained after burning through one-and-a-half hectares.
The blaze on Old Menzies Creek Road was first reported about 11.28am.
The Department of Sustainability and Environment is assisting CFA crews on the scene.
A second fire in Selby-Aura Road, reported at 11.15am, is currently listed as contained. Nine trucks are on site.
