MAROONDAH and Yarra Ranges residents are being encouraged to don their favourite Aussie gear and celebrate our nation this Saturday.
In Maroondah, after a flag raising ceremony in the morning at Ringwood Lake, new Australians will be officially welcomed in a citizenship ceremony, coinciding with the presentation of the annual Australia Day awards.
The celebrations will continue on the lake throughout the day, with family activities planned until the afternoon.
In Yarra Ranges, locals have the choice of attending celebrations at either the Heritage golf course or Borthwick Park.
