Australia Day hot shots

Ryan and Jordan tried golf on a course made for children when hundreds turned out for Australia Day celebrations at Heritage Golf and Country Club in Chirnside Park. Yarra Ranges mayor Jim Child also formally welcomed 65 new citizens from 15 countries, in a special ceremony. Afterwards everyone enjoyed family activities, live music and fresh produce from the Yarra Valley Food Market. In Belgrave, residents again turned out to celebrate Survival Day, the sixth time the event has been held. See a photo gallery of the celebrations, at yarrarangesweekly.com.au.  Picture: Rob Carew
