Road improvement works have started at the intersection of Blazey and Eastfield roads in Croydon.
The works, expected to be completed by August, include replacing the intersection with a roundabout, installing traffic islands and upgrading the street lighting. Since 2007 there have been three reported crashes at the intersection of Blazey Road, two of them serious and one involving a pedestrian. The $630,000 works are part of the federal government's black spot program.
