LILYDALE resident Nathan Kempson has decided he's "sticking to being a builder" after delivering his and his partner Rebecca Heinjus's baby on their lounge room floor at 8.25am last Wednesday.
Amy Jade weighed in at 10 pounds, 10 ounces (4.82kilograms), and both she and her mother are doing well. Mr Kempson said he didn't have time to panic as he "was more just listening to what the bloke from Triple-0 was saying. He talked me through it."
Fortunately for the couple, one of Ms Heinjus's friends, who is a qualified nurse, was at their house at the time. Amy Jade is a little sister for Ella, 2.
