AN Upwey man has been arrested following an assault on a taxi driver last Monday week.
Belgrave police arrested the 20-year-old man on Friday. He has since been interviewed and released pending a summons charge.
Police allege the taxi driver, 30, was punched several times after an argument over a fare, about 1am in Mast Gully Road, Upwey.
The driver suffered facial injuries, including a broken nose, and was taken to hospital for treatment.
