Former Carlton coach Brett Ratten is the new ambassador for Mount Evelyn disability service, Melba Support Services. Ratten, Melba's CEO Glenn Foard and Cecelia North-Coombs, visited the team last week to get to know some of the people supported by the service. Ratten grew up in the Yarra Valley, starting his football career at a local club before moving on to the AFL's Carlton. This year Melba Support Services celebrates 40 years of service to adults with a disability, and will be hosting a ruby anniversary gala dinner on October 13, at which Ratten will be the guest speaker.
