Warranwood's Kennedy family is thrilled that fund-raising efforts for their daughter Brooke have eclipsed their target of $50,000. The Weekly first reported last month on 14-year-old Brooke, who suffers a rare form of dystonic storms, which forces her body to twist and contort into painful, abnormal positions. The family was backed by baseball team Melbourne Aces and Baseball Victoria in their fund-raising efforts for a piece of medical equipment needed to perform surgery that could help her condition.
