POLICE are investigating an ‘‘item of concern’’ after a suspected explosive device was found at a Lilydale house this afternoon.
A spokesman from Lilydale police confirmed to the Weekly that detectives had executed a search warrant at an address near the Anderson and Pine streets intersection about 3.30pm.
He said the arson and explosive squad had been called in to assist.
VicRoads is reporting that Anderson Street is closed between Maroondah Highway and Swansea Road.
